July 29, 6:19 a.m. - The alarm clock rudely interrupted my deep sleep at 5:30 a.m. I broke camp, yelled a wake-up call to Kevin's tent, ate breakfast and went about the task of looking for a suitable spot to photograph sunrise. The small lake just below Clear Lake offered a mirror-like surface, so I set up for a reflection shot of the thirteener peaks that surround the basin. The alpenglow did not disappoint. |
